Capoeira is a Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, sports, and music. It was created in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves with Brazilian native influences, probably beginning in the 16th century. It is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power kicks and quick leg sweeps, with some ground and aerial acrobatics, knee strikes, take-downs, elbow strikes, punches and headbutts.

Demolition of Acorn Office
The Municipal Corporation started demolishing houses of Acorn members in Dharavi, those who were refused rehabilitation were thrown with their children and belongings on the streets, they are now living in our office. This is against the Maharashtra governments own stated policy that they will not demolish houses during the monsoon. Then they will start breaking our office, we have shifted our furniture into the adjoining recycling center. We are living in a democracy which drags their own kids out of school and throws them under the bulldozer in the name of redevelopment, people are angry, their cries for justice is silenced by hundreds of policemen.
